Specimens & Sketches: A World of Science & Artistry

May 8th 6:30-9:00pm

We will provide a bunch of skulls and other bones for this workshop. There will be a short 30-45 min segment of what are skulls and bones with Michael (m.eye.chael). We will tap into bone articulation etc.

followed by the art segment

Students will be using charcoal and graphite

Botanical Bewitchment: Delve into the Deadly

May 15th 6:30-9:00PM

Plants that can kill you with Kara (@astral.eye) will bring real plants and herbs. There will be a short 30-45 min segment on history and use of poisonous plants, followed by the art segment

Students will be using watercolors for this workshop

Arachnid Artistry: Exploring Spiders & Scorpions in Living Colour

May 22nd 6:30-9:00PM

Spiders and scorpions with LIVE specimens! This segment will take about 30-45 min with a possibility to hold or touch real specimens.

Then we will have framed dead specimens to draw.

Students will be using variety of pencils for this workshop

We will provide a bunch of wet preserved specimens for this segment. There will be a short 30-45 min educational and history. After that we will have the art section.
